I love your Easy-Fit Cuff.  I need to use the cuff on my right arm only.  It is so much easier and your cuff stays in place.  Please tell people that have had a mastectomy how easy the cuff is to use.

I purchased blood pressure monitor model UA-702V in 2002 (4 years before).  I recommended it to 2 of my friends in New York State, and then moved to Alabama in 2004.  This monitor was compared to a clinical apparatus in my doctor’s office.  It registered 5% error (10% error expected by doctor).  I called LifeSource when the pump (bulb) was not properly working.  I got a replacement bulb the next day by UPS.  Excellent customer service and remarkable product satisfaction.

My UA-767 has given us great service for at least 5 years without skipping a beat.  It works every and any time we use it.  I have had 2 heart attacks and a carotid artery repaired.  I cannot say enough good things about LifeSource.  I always tell my friends and have not heard to the contrary about the quality and reliability of LifeSource.

The customer satisfaction group does a great job and in particular, Eileen Cortez, has been a big help in keeping Sun West Marketing’s customers happy.  She’s done a terrific job of keeping track of Costco.com and Veteran’s Canteen.  Her communication skills regarding PO confirmation and deliveries are timely and accurate.  And if there is ever a problem she is quick to resolve it.  She has a very positive affect on our customer relationships and is a valuable member of the team.

Some years ago, I was given a LifeSource blood pressure monitor by my doctor at the V.A. Hospital.  I used it for a time, thinking it was just another toy.  After a big problem with my blood pressure, I started to use it everyday.  Now I have learned that using it every day keeps me alert to the problem I have with my blood pressure.

I love my LifeSource monitor (UA-767). I have been using it for the last two years and it has been very easy to use. I love the clarity of the display and the numbers are big and bold.  I have seen other monitors and they are very hard to read. My LifeSource monitor is very detailed as far as showing the systolic, diastolic and pulse readings.

Personal Weight Scales


Here is one photo of Teferi, one of our senior nurses holding a daily Maternal and Child Healthcare (MCH) clinic at Gimbie hospital in Ethiopia. So many women come with their babies to get them weighed and vaccinated that on nice days, we hold the clinic outside. He is using one of the newly donated LifeSource scales. The new digital scales raised a real stir around here.  Staff members and patients were lining up to weigh themselves on the new digital scales the first time I brought them out. We don't get too much high tech stuff around here obviously.

Thank you again for the generous donation from your company. A little goes a long way here. Chandra and I are going to be leaving here at the end of the month after a good 3 year run in Ethiopia. In the time I've been here, I've never asked anyone for anything. I've just told a few stories to some family and friends and it's been amazing how much people have been willing to help out with time, money, equipment, or words of encouragement and prayer.

Blood Pressure Monitors


Thanks so much for the opportunity to use the LifeSource blood pressure monitors.  Since high blood pressure increase your chances of having a heart attack, heart failure, stroke, kidney disease and other life threatening conditions, we are aggressive in our treatment.  We encourage frequent home monitoring of blood pressures to maintain adequate control.  Treating high blood pressure can reduce your chances of having a heart attack by 27 percent, stroke by 38 percent and heart failure by 55 percent.

We have found the LifeSource monitors to be quick and easy to operate.  These monitors also correlate well when checked with manual pressures in our office.

With careful monitoring and adequate control of blood pressure, we can reduce the number of deaths and disability from this disease.

My quest for an accessible blood pressure monitor began in December, 2004, when my doctor prescribed medication to bring down my excessively high  pressure. Three years ago I was able to bring it down using exercise, but  decided that at least for now I should take the pills to help me with this  problem.  I am totally blind, and thus needed a product with speech or Braille output.  In the past I relied on my sighted husband to read the  results from the monitor we used at our local drug store.  But Bob died of  lymphoma in November of 2003, leaving me to seek out a solution that does  not require sighted assistance.

Now that I know how to use the UA-767T, I find it very easy to operate. To the right of the volume switch is a headphone jack for private listening; I am very grateful for that feature!

In summary, I agree completely with the following statement from the
AccessWorld article:

The A&D UA-767T has both FDA approval and the highest accuracy rating from  BHS. Its voice output is clear and understandable, buttons are tactilely  identifiable, and the monitor is generally easy to use.

There are no words to adequately express how good it feels to be able to  monitor this aspect of my health with total independence and privacy, with  consultation only from my doctor.  I applaud A&D Medical for making this  product available and hope they will continue to do so.  Thank you!
